Our 2026 calendar has arrived!

Our 2026 calendar has arrived!

Well it has been a while since I posted a blog!

This morning I woke up to a lovely message from my printer - the calendars would be ready to collect this afternoon! So off I went at 3 pm to pick them up, just a short drive from my place. I'll be honest, I had to pry myself away, because a small crowd of fluffballs was starting to assemble on the balcony and their demanding and cute little faces are hard to say no to. So after a quick "nut lap", including ejecting Rex from my shoulder TWICE (the sweet boy loves to perch on my shoulder and is confused when I say no), I was on the road to collect the calendars.

As soon as I arrived at the printers, I had to open a box and take a peep and guys, let me tell you, they've done a wonderful job! The photos have come up really nicely, I can't even tell you which month is my favourite! A definite front runner this year is the King Parrot featured in December - the colours really pop and his gaze is so intense and inquisitive at the same time. I can't wait for you all to see it and let me know your thoughts!

A funny story I will share - so Mr October aka Derpface features in the calendar in the middle of an unsuccessful heist - he is checking a regular nut storing location in my living room in the hope of stealing a few almonds, but they were not there. Anyway, when I brought the calendars home Derpface was here, so naturally I wanted to show him his picture. He looked pleased with it I suppose, but maybe curious is a better description. Anyway, shortly afterward, Honky was here and Honky LOVES to sneak in. So when I went outside to spend some time with him, I shut the door behind me immediately so he wouldn't run inside when I wasn't looking. I then proceeded to spend maybe 20 minutes out there with the fluffballs .... until, eventually, I turned around and looked through the closed glass door - DERPFACE what are you doing on the inside??? He had been in there the whole time, quietly and happily stuffing his face with almonds in the exact spot where his calendar photo is. He had left a huge pile of crumbs, and a poop, as clear evidence of his misdeeds. What a rascal! He only let me know he was in there once he was bored and looking for a way out. What an absolute rascal.

Anyway, I'd better go wrap them all up now - I have a big day at the post office coming up tomorrow morning! Thankfully Matt helped me out and packed a few tonight while I was finishing off some work.

If you haven't ordered yet, get onto it! Christmas is just round the corner, and I always sell out - more than half are sold already!
